Your character designs are great. I always struggle with making interesting looking characters. It's been difficult to break away from the art school idea of realism. Though my work is not hyper realistic, and I try to make interesting looking characters, I always end up erasing what I have done and going back to more realistic proportions. You make me want to keep trying though.
Thanks! I know it will be little difficult at the start but you should keep trying. You can refer to a few books like walt stanchfield's Drawn to life and follow art blogs of other character designers. Remember FOCUS + DAILY IMPROVEMENT +TIME = SUCCESS! Keep drawing!
wonderful characters!!How much time did u take to complete one character?
ReplyDeleteThanks! Well...these are just some character explorations I do when i have free time. But shouldn't be more than 15-20 min I guess...
DeleteJust for the curiosity..did u refer any photo for the characters or is it from memory..?
Deleteyes...the man on the left with stick is inspired from a picture of sadhu I came across. Rest are memory...
